What a Day That Will Be?

I was thinking today of this song. What a great song and I love what it says today. We face so many things in this life. It seems like we are so busy that is will be good when this all ends. I was thinking of all the heartaches people face. They face the heartache of love ones being lost and not being able to do anything about it. They face the heartache of love ones being out of the Will of God and not being able do anything about it. We get so stressed in this life with the bills that just don't go away. We face the sorrows of seing people that we love go by the way of the grave and even though we know they are in a better place it still don't make it easy on us. We face the letdowns of people in our life. People we thought were strong and there to help us and then we see them falter forgetting that we all can get bogged down. We have pains in places that sometimes no medicine can help and we have to suffer through the pain. I am glad today that I am saved and that I know that one day it will be worth it all. What a Day that Will Be?

When all Work on earth is Done.
We will not have to work for a paycheck anymore, we will not have to clean, cook, take care of the kids when he comes back. I am not saying those things are bad but I know that they sometimes can get burdensome.

When We Can Worship Forever in the Right Spirit.
I have to admit there are times that I don;t worship in the right spirit. There have been times to where I just didn't feel like worshipping the Lord.
What a Day that Will Be?

I. No More Sin
We will never sin again. We will never say a cross word to someone. We will never have another a bad attitude again. We will never have an ungodly thought, deed, or action ever again. It will be great to be able to think right all the time.

II. No More Satan
The reason there will be no more sin is because we will not have to deal with Satan ever again. The one that has caused so much grief will never again be able to do anything to us.
In Closing I thank the Lord that we are coming to an end of all of this mess on this earth, but I thank God What A day that will be when I see the Savior face to face. When I see the one who died for me and loves me even when I haven't loved him back. When I see the One who has watched over me since I have been saved. When I see the One who has been a friend when I haven't had a friend to turn to. When I see the one that I get to spend eternity with forever. Truly What a Day that Will Be. Till next time God Bless You.

Giving Thanks

Ps 107:1, Ps 136:1
O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good:for his mercy endureth forever.

As we entered this time of thanksgiving this year I am reminded that everyday should be a day of thanksgiving for the Christian. We are told in scripture that it is the will of God to give thanks in everything. I believe one of the problems with the body of Christ is we forget to give thanks to the Lord on a daily basis. He has done so much for us and he is worthy of all our thankfulness. I thank God that at this time of the year as we celebrate thanksgiving that many people that don't even name the name of Christ even give thanks to the Lord. I was thinking of several areas this morning that we should be thankful for.

I. Our Country.
I am not proud what America is today with the zest pool of sin, but I thank God he allowed me to be born in this country. I was born in a country that had the freedom of preachers getting up each Sunday and preaching the Word of God so I could trust Jesus as my Savior. We were not born in a poor country where even today people are worrying where they will get there next meal from. People worry about when they worship if someone will come and take them to prison or kill them on the spot. I thank God I have the freedom in this country to take my Bible to work and read it each and everyday, and not only that we can have God's Holy Word in its entirety yet so many neglect his Word.

II. Being A Christian.
I thank the Lord this morning that I am not a Buddhist, or Mormon or Jehovah Witness, but that I am Christian. I thank God that on August 10 1993 the sweet Holy Ghost came and convicted my heart and showed me my need for a Savior and that I trusted him and now I am going to heaven. I realize this morning that there are many out there that do not know Christ and I realize that there are many in the world today that have not even heard the gospel once. Praise the Lord that i am a Christian this morning.

III. For My Church.
I thank God that I belong to a church that is in the right way. I thank GOd that I have a preacher that preaches the WOrd of God straight down the line. I thank God that I have a church to when I am weak that I find strength to go on. I thank GOd that I have a church that when I am burden down that I can lay my burdens down. I have a church that hates sin and preached the kjv. I thank GOd that his presence shows up at our church.

IV. For Christians.
I thank God that I know Christians that when I need prayer they will pray. I thank God that I have Christian friends that when I am doing wrong they are not afraid to rebuke me. I thank God that I have Christian friends so I can talk about spiritual things and that I don't have to be drawn to worldly people.

In Closing so many things to be thankful for, but as we go through this time of thanksgiving may we take a few extra minutes to just thank the Savior for all he does. I hope everyone has a wonderful thanksgiving and until next time God Bless.

What We are in Christ?

Titus 2:14
Who have himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people zealous of good works.
I was sitting here pondering about this thought that has been on my heart most of the day. I thank God that I am saved. We have so many benefits of being in Christ that sometimes I think we forget all we are in Christ. I thank God that i don't have to go to hell, and I thank God that I get to go to heaven. I thank him that he gave me his holy spirit to lead and guide me in all truth. I thank God that he has given me the joy of serving him. There are some things in this verse that we are to be in Christ.
I. We are a Purchased Person.
We are been purchased. The word here is redeem. We have been bought with a price. That price was the Lord Jesus shed blood on Calvary. The bible tells that we no longer are own. We are not to be self driven but spirit led. THe problem with most saved people including myself is that I have too much self in the way. Self controls so much in our life that it is no wonder we don't have the power of God today.
II. We are Purified Person.
He purified us. He cleanse us with his blood and gives us a brand new start, and expects to live right. He expects us to live godly in this present world. He has purifed us from sin. He washed them all the way, the sad thing is that we let sin reign in our mortal body and we fail so much because we forget that we are purifed.
III. We are Peculiar Person.
We are different now that we are saved. There are things now that we do that people say we are weird. When I read the Word of God and work that is weird to a lost and dying world. When I talk about the Lord instead of what world offers that is weird to people. When I listen to good preaching instead of the ungodly music people listen to that is weird. We are pilgrims in this land, we are to be in the world but not of it. I am reminded that This world is not my home I am only passing through. People should think that we are weird. The problem is too many have the stench of the world that are saved that the world sees no difference. Therefore they just live the same way. People should be convicted by the way we are different. I thank God that i am different.
In closing I just wanted to remind us tonight of what are in Christ. We need to as Christians get serious about how are lives effect other people. They either effect positively, or negativily. We are to show the Love of Jesus but we are not to compromise that love. Till next time God Bless.

The Love of God

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.

I was thinking about the love of God this morning. I preached on falling out of love with the Lord last night. The Lord had showed me some areas in my life and I thank him for that. I thank God that he loves me this morning. I thank God that over two thousand years ago he showed his love by sending his son to die on the cruel cross for me. One of my posts most recently talked about his faithfulness to us and he is faithful. I have been to the point in my life that wondered if anyone love me. Then I am reminded from the Lord that he loves me. God can't help it he is Love. What about his love this morning is so wonderful?

I. His Love his Undescribable.
How do we describe his love, we can't? I mean think about he came and died for sinful man when he couldn't stand sin. He became sin who knew know sin. I asked a question think about putting one of you children, or one your parents on the cross to die for the whole world and most of us if not all of us would not. However God did this for us.

II. His Love is Unconditional.
When we love somebody we sometimes have conditions on loving that person. God never has conditions on loving us. He always loves us no matter what we do. When we are good he loves us and when we are bad he loves us. When I am in his will he loves me and when I am not in his will he loves me. There is no requirements for God loving us and I thank God for this because we fail him so many times.

This is just a little thought this morning but since God loves us he gives us a commandment to love other people. We are to love other people but we do not have to love their sin. We are to have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness but we are to try to love people to Jesus. In conclusion since God loves us so much shouldn't we try to love God with all our heart , soul and mind. May the Lord bless you till next time and remember God loves you.

Whom do you obey?

We ought to obey God rather than man. Acts 5:29b

I was thinking about this verse the last couple of days. The passage here is when Peter and the Apostles were told not to preach Jesus and then Peter said this to those people. We all face a decisions sometimes when we choose who we are going to obey. Sometimes it comes in a work situation, sometimes it comes in a political setting, and sadly sometimes it comes in a family setting. We must learn as Christians that we are to obey God no matter what. We are to do things that please the Lord and not man. I want to look at these settings for a couple of minutes.

I. Work Situations.
I was thinking at work sometimes you have to make a decision on whom you will follow. For instance when it comes to the boss coming and asking you something about what someone did. You have to make a decision. If you follow man you will probably lie, but when you follow God you will always tell the truth. Or another scenerio what if you asked to go somewhere you shouldn't. IF you go you are following man, but if you don't go then you follow God. Whom will you obey?
II. Goverment Situations.
When is right not to obey the government when they step against God's Word. We are suppose to obey the government but if they say you can't carry God's Word anymore then you are to obey God. God is are final authority. There is not prince, king, president, leader that supercedes God. If we are put in the position of whether we live or die over the Lord. We should choose God. Whom will you obey?

III. Family Situations.
I want to give a little more on this. Normally our family is the closest to us. Sometimes family wants to go a different direction and we must follow God. I have had this happen a few times since I have been married. It was a decision on whether we stayed or went somewhere with family or if we followed God and went to the HOuse of God. Sadly many put family above the Lord. There are many Christians who would spend time with family instead of being faithful to the LOrd. How about this situtation where you know something is not right in your family and you must stand against your family because of what God's word says. This is hard but we must do it. We must realize that there a lot of carnal saved people who would rather obey man and particapate in things against GOd's Word than obeying the Lord. What God wants is for us to take a stand and always obey him in everything . Whom will you obey?

In closing God allows us to make this choice in our lives. I would love to say that I have always obeyed God instead of man but this is not true, but it is my hearts desire to obey from this day until I die or he comes in everything. Till next time God Bless.

What God Wants?

I was thinking and just pondering on how great a God we serve. He knows everything we do or say before we ever say it. I was thinking how he saved us and how he has guided us to learn more about him. I was also thinking about this question. What does God want today from his creation. He created everything for his purpose and for his glory. God is so good to us. As I have read posts today some talked about how the Lord allows the beauty of the seasons to change. There are several things that God wants from his children tonight. God always wants something from the lost man.

To the Sinner God wants them to seek forgiveness of Sin.
Remember according to Peter 3:9 God wants all to come to repentance. God wants all to be saved even though all will not be saved. He made a way through Jesus for all to be saved. He gives everyman the choice of being saved but sadly so many reject the Lords call to Salvation. I believe it will be a sad day for God when he has to cast some of his creation that rejects him to be cast into the Lake of Fire.

To the Saved God wants fellowship.
God desire from the time he created Adam was to fellowship with man. God has always had a desire to talk to his creation. We know sin stopped that fellowship so can allowed the sacrifices of animals to atone for sin, but one day he sent his son to die and then sent the Holy Spirit to dwell in his creation so we can have fellowship with God. I know in my life I don't fellowship as much as I can with my Lord. I wonder how many Christians in the world hasn't even fellowship with God today. God is waiting to hear from us today.
To Saved God wants us to have Faith.
If there is one area I believe sometimes I lack in it is trusting God. He wants his children to be able to come to him at all times. The sad thing is most of the time we come to him when he is the last resort. The bible tells us in I John whatsoever is not of faith is sin. It is also tells us it is impossible to believe God without faith. We have saving faith but sometimes we lack that living faith.
To the Saved God wants us to Forgive.
This is what God wants from his children we must learn to forgive when someone hurts us. This was something that I had a problem with for a while and allowed myself to get bitter. That is always a bad thing. Remember the word tells us to always forgive no matter what the pain that was caused. We can not be right with God and not forgive. God wants his children to learn this principle of forgiveness. When someone don't accept our forgiveness that is on them. It is sad when God children hold grudges for years. There is no joy and there is no peace when we hold grudges.

In closing there are many other things that God wants from us but this is what the Lord put on my heart tonight. If we are lacking in any of these areas may we ask the Lord to help us he will not turn us away. Till next time God bless you

The Sin Destroying America

Proverbs 14:34
Righteousness Exalteth a nation; but sin is a reproach to any people.

Before I get started I want to thank God that he allowed me to be born in the greatest nation in the world. This is one of the only nations that you have the right to express freely your religion whether it be the right one or not. However these rights are being taken away every single day. There are many things that bring reproach against the Lord. We have the sin of abortion which last count we have murdered 50 million babies. That is like 1/6 of our population today. We have the sin of sodomy that is running rapant in our nation. It is a sad day when the sodomite has more rights than the Christian. We have the sin of divorce. This is a sin God meant for a woman and man to stay together till death to they part. When 50 percent of marriages in the United States ends up in divorce that is a sin against a Holy God. These are all ungodly sins. However except for the last one most Christians do not partake in the first two.

Now the sin that I believe is destroying America is the sin of Idolatry. We know that the ungodly world promotes this sin. The sad thing is that this is a sin practice by the majority of the Church. Idolatry is anything that takes the place of the worship of God in our lives. I have to sadly say I have committed this sin in my life. There are many things that people put in place of the Lord. THey sometimes put jobs in place of the Lord in their lives. They sometimes place family in place of the Lord. Some put sports in place of the Lord. You have Christians that idolize a ungodly sports figure that most of the time is living in the life of sin and we wonder why there is not any power in our lives. However in our movement the idol that is set up in most people lives is the church. I know we are to serve the church but there are people that preach the church should be all of your life and the sad thing is most people get so bogged down with service that they set the church up as an idol in their lives. I have been their done that. If anything has God off the throne in our lives then we have commited the sin of Idolatry. Remember our ultimate command is to love the the Lord God with all our heart, soul, and mind. I don't know if this is possible all the time but I know we must strive towards it in our lives. The reason I believe America is what she is today is because the church has no power because of this sin of Idolatry. May the help us to examine ourselves to see if we are committing this sin, and if we are may we repent of this sin and get the power of God back into our lives and into the church and maybe we will see more people get saved. May the Lord bless you till next time.
